Turbulent flow described by daVinci
DFS computes best possible solutions to the Euler equations with slip, which show to have a large scale structure of smooth potential flow before 3d rotational slip separation into quasi-stable flow with substantial dissipation as an expression of turbulence. DFS exhibits turbulence as resulting from instability of slightly viscous flow driving the flow into fluctuation in search for stability. Effects of turbulence such as drag of a bluff body show to be computable because the amount of turbulent dissipation is largely independent of the actual scale of dissipation, in accordance with Kolmogorov’s conjecture.
